Each year we hand-select nominated outdoor spaces that need our collective care and attention. By designating them as Spotlights, we’re rallying the local community to step up, join forces with Leave No Trace, and make a meaningful impact that can revitalize and protect these special places where we recreate, enjoy one another’s company, and elevate our health physically, mentally and emotionally.
White Mountain National Forest, Lincoln Woods has been selected as a 2025 Leave No Trace Spotlight. The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team will be at White Mountain National Forest, Lincoln Woods June 26-28, collaborating with hosts and partners on a variety of programs including stewardship projects, workshops, and community outreach.

FRIDAY, JUNE 27:
Leave No Trace Pop-up Education & Outreach, 8:00 -11:00 am, Lincoln Woods Trailhead, Lincoln, NH
Join Leave No Trace and US Forest Service staff for engaging and family-friendly outreach and education. Play quick games and activities to learn more about Leave No Trace and how to protect the beauty, wildlife, and special resources of the White Mountain National Forest and all your favorite outdoor spaces.
Leave No Trace Trivia & Social Hour, 5:00 -7:00 pm, Woodstock Inn Brewey, Woodstock, NH
If you love the outdoors and White Mountain National Forest, join us for this interactive game night to gauge your knowledge of Leave No Trace practices and principles while learning tips and techniques for protecting the forest and all your favorite outdoor spaces. Whether you are new to Leave No Trace or consider yourself an expert, don’t miss this chance to participate in fun stewardship trivia, mingle with Spotlight hosts and partners, and win some cool prizes!
SATURDAY, JUNE 28:
Volunteer Stewardship Workday & Campsite Restoration Project, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Lincoln Woods Trailhead, Lincoln, NH
Join Leave No Trace and USFS staff and partners for a fun and rewarding volunteer project. Tasks will include campsite rehabilitation and other needed restoration work. Volunteers will be introduced to Leave No Trace and learn more about stewardship education. To sign up, contact Mike Benson at [email protected]. This event is limited to 20 participants due to the nature of the work being completed.
